It’s true that the federal authorities would not require meals from animals which were raised on feed from GMO plants to be labeled. However, in June 2013, the U.S. Department of Agriculture formally permitted a label that meals corporations can use to establish meat and liquid egg products that come from animals that haven’t been fed GMOs. All these producers have to do is provide proof that they’ve been vetted by an unbiased certifying group [source: Strom].

Execs and ConsRock salt is among the most generally used road de-icers, but it’s not without critics. For one, rock salt does have its limits. If the temperature of the roadway is lower than about 15 degrees F (- 9 C), the salt will not have any effect on the ice. The stable salt merely can’t get into the construction of the frozen water to start the dissolving process. In these instances, the DOT usually spreads sand on prime of the ice to provide traction.
