“We have been preparing since May 2024 and the progress is ongoing. For West Java, we first map out the political landscape for the West Java Pilkada, as no party can nominate on its own. Essentially, parties in West Java must collaborate with other parties to nominate a governor and deputy governor,” said Ono at the PDIP Rakernas V, Saturday (May 25, 2024).
**Reasons PKS Nominated Anies Baswedan-Sohibul Iman in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada** The Prosperous Justice Party (Partai Keadilan Sejahtera) formally nominated Anies Baswedan-Sohibul Iman as the cagub and cawagub candidates for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu revealed the reasons for nominating Anies and Sohibul Iman for the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. Anies Baswedan is considered a leader who achieved significant progress while leading DKI Jakarta. According to Syaikhu, Anies’s performance has made happiness to the residents of Jakarta. “Mr. Anies Rasyid Baswedan succeeded as governor during the 2017-2022 period with various accomplishments in different sectors of development, advancing the city and bringing happiness to its residents,” said Syaikhu at the Party Leadership School Opening at Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sohibul Iman, according to Syaikhu, is a scholar. He mentioned that Sohibul also has an impressive track record in government. “Mr. Sohibul Iman is a technocrat and a scholar who has served as the rector of Paramadina University. He has experience in the legislature as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) from 2013-2014 and has been PKS President from 2015-2020,” explained Syaikhu. Syaikhu said that PKS is a cadre party with the mandate to conduct cadre and leadership regeneration. Therefore, he said, in the 2024 simultaneous Pilkada, the party will endorse its cadres as candidates for regional heads. “Especially in areas where PKS is the winning party or has a majority of seats in the DPRD. PKS will strive to the utmost to nominate its own cadres as candidates,” said Syaikhu.
PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu stated that the Chairman of the Nasdem Party, Surya Paloh, gave a positive signal towards this pair. “I continue to build political communication with the NasDem Party, specifically I made a point to visit Mr. Surya Paloh, and alhamdulillah, I was warmly received and got a positive signal to build cooperation in the Jakarta Pilkada,” stated Syaikhu at the Sahid Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
Before entering politics, he continued, Sohibul Iman was known as a technocrat and Muslim scholar. He was involved in the technology sector at the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT). “He is a blend of a skilled bureaucrat, a capable politician, and a respected intellectual in the educational field,” stated Mabruri.
**PKS Offered Deputy Governor Position with Ridwan Kamil** PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu admitted that he received an offer for the deputy gubernatorial position to accompany Ridwan Kamil (RK) in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. The offer came from the Indonesian Forward Coalition (KIM) supporting Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 Presidential Election. “There is that offer, which is why we are analyzing and considering what makes the most sense,” stated Syaikhu during an interview at the PKS DPP office, Jakarta, on Tuesday. However, regarding who PKS will support, Syaikhu said it is not yet final. He mentioned that communication with other parties for the Jakarta Pilkada is still ongoing. “We are continuously communicating to decide who will support Mr. Anies Rasyid Baswedan along with other parties. Therefore, communication with other parties is not yet final,” he said. Syaikhu mentioned that communication is being conducted with many parties, not just KIM. Intensive communication continues with their coalition in the 2024 Presidential Election, namely the Change Coalition.
Furthermore, Ono hopes that the 2024 presidential and legislative elections, which were marked by massive, structured, and systematic fraud (TSM), will not be repeated in the 2024 simultaneous Pilkada .
Syaikhu stated that PKS needs to build communication with other political parties (parpol) including NasDem to meet the requirements for nominating a governor and deputy governor in the Jakarta Pilkada. “PKS realizes it cannot nominate a candidate alone in the Pilkada because the number of seats we have does not yet meet the requirement to nominate independently, we only have 18 seats, while the requirement is 22. So we still need 4 more seats,” he said. After NasDem, PKS will soon build communication with the Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Muhaimin Iskandar, or Cak Imin to build a coalition in the Jakarta Pilkada. “InsyAllah in the coming time I will also try to communicate with PKB, with Cak Imin,” he said.
This is because the chances of winning are higher as the election will not go to two rounds. “Yes, actually, two or three coalitions are interesting. For us, two coalitions are more attractive; our chances of winning are higher. If there are three coalitions, it could go to two rounds, which we are also considering,” stated Pipin at the Sahid Hotel, Jakarta, on Monday. If you have any type of concerns concerning where and how to utilize mk resmi ubah ambang batas pencalonan pilkada, you can call us at our webpage. Pipin said that the possibility of forming a new coalition for the Jakarta Pilgub is still open. However, this must be discussed with other political parties (parpol). “All these possibilities exist, and we are just one party among many, so we need to talk together,” he stated.
