I had some violet paint out on the palette so I simply dipped into it and made marks with the diluted violet and a brush like I would normally do with my acrylic paintings. The only directions I have for working with cold wax come compliments of Rebecca Crowell and her ning site, oilandwax.ning . Since Rebecca works so much in a different way than I do, I just need to wing it apart from studying about the things I can or cannot do and there usually are not that a lot of them because you don’t have to think of some of the technicalities of oil painting alone. The chilly wax medium helps all of the paints to dry without pondering of fat over lean, and so on.
