Summary

Vocabulary is likely one of the vital features that needs to be obtained by the students’ to study English as overseas language in Indonesia. Particularly, learning vocabularies still exist in lots of faculties. Teachers usually use vocabulary listing, definition, written and oral drills, すらら 評判 and cards in educating vocabulary. Finding out vocabulary requires much effort. There are a number of possible ways to introduce the vocabulary of a overseas language to students. One of them is to make use of a worksheet (LKS) which is utilized by learners to learn. In it’s also as device of measuring students’ abilities in understanding vocabulary in English. This research utilized a case research using correlation statistic. The subject of the research on this study is the scholars in seventh grade in SMPN 1 Losarang, Indramayu. The pattern is taken from seventh grade, it has 36 students’ consisting of 13 male and 23 feminine. The aims of this research is to understand how good students vocabulary mastery at SMPN 1 Losarang, to understand how good students worksheet at SMPN 1 Losarang, and to know the way the correlation between students vocabulary mastery and college students worksheet. College students vocabulary score was as variable X and college students worksheet was as variable Y. Since both of them data is abnormal, the resulted from correlation statistic non-parametric (Spearmen Rank). The result of this research can be concluded as follows: (1) that students vocabulary mastery at first grade of SMPN 1 Losarang is 61.7. (2) For college kids worksheet at first grade of SMPN 1 Losarang is 66.17. (3) And correlation between the students vocabulary mastery and students worksheet is 0.26, it can be categorized in low correlation as a result of the value is in interval 0.21 – 0.40. The examine is shows that there are some causes behind it. The information was received by utilizing college students rating from vocabulary and college students worksheet. First the material will not be suitable for first grade; there is no image; and an excessive amount of text. Due to this fact, it is strongly suggested for the teacher to have more creative in instructing material vocabulary; the trainer needs to be in detail when explaining the phrase from students’ worksheet; and the teachers have to decide on college students worksheet e-book materials as in actual fact the scholars worksheet guide is for the third grade students. For the students, LKS is referable for bettering the quality of studying not only within the classroom but also at their dwelling; this it improves the quality of studying process effectively.
