And joined the iconic show’s cast on Wednesday as they did a read-through of the sketches that might make it to Saturday night’s final broadcast.

Later in the evening, Kim, 40, was seen stepping out in Manhattan in an enormous Balenciaga vest with huge sunglasses and a baseball cap.

In a photo shared to SNL’s Instagram account, Kim appeared to be grinning ear-to-ear beneath her black mask as she read for one of her guest roles.

She wore her raven locks parted down the middle and cascading down her shoulders in pin-straight strands.

During SNL’s season, the writers and cast work on a grueling six-day schedule, with Mondays primarily devoted to pitching sketches, while Tuesday is reserved for writing them.

The read-through on completed sketches begins on Wednesday evenings and can last for several hours, as many more sketches are read than will make it to the final broadcast.

Kim may not have much to do for Thursday, as that’s when the sets are built, according to .

However, she’ll be busy with rehearsals on Friday and Saturday, and she’ll do a longer two-hour version of the show as a dress rehearsal with an audience at 8 p.m. on Saturday. 

After the read-through, Kim was spotted stepping out in Manhattan in another striking black Balenciaga ensemble.

The Spanish fashion house has been responsible for many of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s recent looks, including her edgy bondage-inspired suit with a full-face covering that she wore to the Met Gala last month.

Kanye has never hosted the long-running series, but he has been a frequent musical guest with seven past appearances.

Unlike most of SNL’s musical guests, who tend to put on fairly modest performances, Kanye has been known to perform on special sets and to use elaborate costumes.
