Jeffery finished off his timeless look with a tailored black blazer and a pair of sophisticated squared glasses.

Linked to his arm is Bond co-star Daniel, 55, who opted for a trendy and polished ensemble as he looked handsome in a plaid grey tailored suit.

The Glass Onion star paired his three-piece with a pale blue oxford shirt and a wide satin tie.

Inspired by the 70s, Daniel finished his serious look with a pair of oversized yellow-tinted spectacles with a silver rim.

Supporting Jeffery’s new leading role, James Bond producer Barbara, 63, looked drop-dead gorgeous as she commanded attention in all black.

The Till producer looked sensational as she was also stunned in a black turtle neck jumper and trousers.

She showcased her fashion sense with a fitted, black, velvet blazer with a pretty pink floral silk lining that peaked under her rolled sleeves.

The new MGM film is said to be forcing white liberals to confront their hypocrisy in Hollywood and beyond and is receiving critical acclaim from the same people it skewers.

Cord Jefferson’s American Fiction is a commentary on how the establishment tends to favour reductive portraits of blackness in the name of diversity and inclusion, often at the expense of quality.

The movie tells the story of a black professor, ‘Monk’ played by Jeffrey, who is fed up with his snowflake students and struggling to get any critical interest in his work.

He jokingly penned a novel littered with racial stereotypes, only for it to become an overnight success.

The biting satire pokes fun at powerful white liberals in the publishing world and later Hollywood who lap up the outlandish parody, entitled ‘My Pafology’ and later renamed to just ‘F***’.

And in an ironic twist, the film has earned stellar reviews from left-leaning publications keen to make it known they are in on the joke.

The Washington Post stated the movie is, ‘Racial parody rooted in wincingly familiar honesty.’

Salon declared that American Fiction ‘reframes what black success means for writers.’

While Rolling Stone branded the flick ‘an absolute triumph’ for the way it ‘deconstructs how white guilt stifles black creatives.’

In the movie, Jeffrey’s middle-class Monk only finds commercial success when he ignores his privilege and writes a ‘hood’ novel under the pseudonym of on-the-lam con Stagg R. Leigh.

Before his six-figure book deal, an exasperated Monk argued with publishers who believed his Classics-based work should be categorised under African American literature due to their fixation on race.

He is advised to write something ‘blacker’ and ultimately inspired to do so after witnessing the success of fellow author Sintara Golden (Issa Rae), an Oberlin-educated writer who is praised for her ‘urgent’ and ‘raw’ poverty-porn novel, ‘We’s Lives in Da Ghetto’.

But by combining this plot point with an exploration into Monk’s personal and family life, including his struggle to connect with siblings, played by Tracee Ellis Ross and Sterling K Brown, the film seeks to highlight how absurd the fixation solely on race has become.

‘The important question that needs to be asked, the question I’m asking now, is: Why is this stuff being made to the omission of everything else?’ Jefferson told Rolling Stone.

The film is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom and Ireland by Curzon Film on February, 2, 2024.
