The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combination is the ideal solution for pets who shed fur. The machine can vacuum, mop and clean its own dual mop pad.

It also has the highest suction power of any robot we’ve examined, with 8,000Pa. It also can save your home’s maps and set cleaning schedules from its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is equipped with Ecovacs’ new AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacle avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area up to 32 feet by 360 degrees. This means more precise mapping and faster response times and greater cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille fabric. This makes it easier to scrub tough areas than traditional mops. In my testing, the X2 Omni took just over one minute to clean its pad before getting to work, and I noticed that it was more precise than other models that were able to follow a grid-like route around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room’s’ corners and edges, as well as make a “Zambani pattern” across the center of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station frequently to empty the trash bin and clean the mop with hot water prior to starting another cleaning job.

Like other Ecovacs products the X2 Omni is simple to set up and start using. Snap the dock into position connect it to the power outlet and connect it to your home WiFi network. It only takes some minutes. Then, you’re able to launch the app and start with your first cleaning project. I was able customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for sweeping and mopping as well as rearranging the positioning of furniture on the wall, and more. The X2 Omni did a great job during my tests, with outstanding scores in the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning, as well as near-perfect results in edge and crevice cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you’re looking for a strong combination of vacuuming and mopping, check out the ECOVACS Deebot T10 Omni. It is the most advanced model of the brand’s T-line, and features the latest OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system which uses dual-spinning brushes for superior cleaning over traditional oscillating scrubbing. It also comes with YIKO built-in, a first-of-its-kind natural language processing tech that can respond to a wide range of voice commands. You can make use of the ECOVACS app to map your home, establish cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The most significant issue with the T10 Omni is that it’s unable to switch from mopping to vacuuming in a single run. Both modes require that you attach and remove mop heads as you need to, which is fine for most homes, but not a good fit for people who lead busy lives.

The Deebot T10 Omni is a superb robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our tests on pet hair. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the particles we tossed at it on our hardwood flooring which is an impressive performance. It also did an excellent job on tile and carpet, removing over 99% of dirt and debris.

This robot vacuum and mop has an extensive docking system that allows for automatic cleaning with cool water for the mop pads. It also has an auto-emptying 3L bag which is easy to replace and hot air drying for fast and easy maintenance. It also has a large tank of water that allows it to be washed and dried more frequently between mopping sessions.

The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to rinse and dry its mop pads while it is using them. It does not have a removable tray, so dirt, dust and other grime can slowly build up at the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It is equipped with improved intelligence, multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the surface you are cleaning. It’s a mid-range robotic cleaner that’s appealing, even if its claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn’t quite make sense.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular form, the sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated sensor area. On the other side, you’ll see a motorised floorbrush and one side brush that moves dust from the edges to the main path of its’ mouth.’ It’s smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to fit under chairs and sofas.

Its mapping system is fairly sophisticated, allowing you to set no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. It is prone to hitting things like its charging station, and isn’t the best robot vacuum for pet hair self-emptying in climbing over carpets. It was good at picking up pet hair from the floor. In our tests it picked up 89.5 percent of cat litter.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, however it also has physical buttons at its base. These buttons let you choose a cleaning mode or turn the robot on/off. These buttons can be used to establish no-go areas and look up maps in real-time. It’s a bit chatty and will inform you of what it plans to do next (“start cleaning”) or warn you that something’s wrong (it isn’t able to charge, for instance).

4. ILIFE A4s

This high-tech vacuum model can pick up pet hair, kibble and other messes with remarkable effectiveness. It can also move effortlessly around furniture legs. It comes with a set of features that is impressive, including two cleaning modes as well as an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacles avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be controlled best through the Neato App which schedules cleanings and maintenance needs are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent option for homes with a large a mix of hard carpet and floors, but it requires some advanced planning to avoid getting stuck on toys, power cords or other unexpected obstacles.

In our test of hardwood floors and kibble the robot performed very well and was able to pick up everything from a single grain of rice up to many pieces of dog food in just one go. It had some difficulties transitioning to rugs however, this vacuum cleaner is great for large spaces with both types of flooring and a mix of pets.

It’s a bit expensive however, if you are able to manage the price, it’s a great purchase for those who wish to be able to leave their homes hands-free to go about other tasks or complete chores. The A4s Pro also offers a useful auto-cleaning mode that automatically increases suction power to deal with tough spills and dirt and comes with batteries that power the ElectroWall that allows you to set boundaries that the robot isn’t allowed to access.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known brand is the cheapest we’ve ever tested, and provides exceptional value for the money. Its basic navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm, and it’s not equipped to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than other models in this list. However, it’s still able to reach under furniture and in corners and its mopping feature worked very well during our tests and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark’s iQ may not be as sturdy, but it is better in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a fair job on low-pile carpet and also makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for better maneuverability. It can be positioned to a particular area and has a suite of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It lets you stop and resume cleaning making it ideal for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots from pet hair and other debris, and its bagless self-emptying dock station can hold up to 30 days of dirt before it needs to be empty. It has a set of angled side brushes that can reach into corners, as well as a multi-stage filter system that collects dust, allergens and dander.

This robot vacuum feels solid and well-constructed, and it works with a smartphone app that enables you to change its vacuum settings and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app also allows you to view the remaining battery life and also receive push notifications about any issues it encounters during its cleaning process. You can also control it using your voice using an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don’t have either of these devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary lines.

The iQ does a decent job of cleaning flooring and doing a good job on low-pile and shaggy carpet however, it doesn’t have the same degree of autonomy as our top picks. It’s also costly and its ongoing costs can add up over time.
