Windhoek is the capital city of Namibia. It is situated in the course of the country in a wonderful green valley between the Eros and Auras mountains. This park has three resorts namely Hatali, Namutoni and Okaukuejo all of which have water holes. Massive numbers of animals converge right here at any time of the day or night thereby permitting tourists’ time for game viewing and also photographing. The Etosha is an attractive geographical characteristic fashioned from a shallow depression. It is 1065m above sea stage and types a huge salty hole which is often crammed with water. This hollow is surrounded by bush and vegetation which provide food to many wild animals similar to zebras, lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, kudu, hyena, springbok, giraffes, jackals and gemsboks.
Namibia Desert is the worlds’ oldest desert and, it stretches from Kunene river to the north and the Orange river to the south. It borders the Atlantic Ocean to the west. The cold Benguela current that sweeps down the African continent creates a morning fog over the country which helps many animals and plants to survive. Some attractive sites in this area embody the Swakopmund Town. It’s situated within the seaside where the palm trees, promenades and the colonial architecture add to its beauty. Walvis bay town lies south of Swakopmund. It was discovered by the early whalers as a rare deep water bay on a shallow coastline. It is home to about forty p.c of South African pink flamingos and various chicken species.
The Skeleton Coast makes a fantastic scenery. It is here that skeleton bones and shipwrecks are swept by the cold sea breezes and seen scattered all around the coastline. Skeleton Coast is situated within a park; however only a part of the area is open to the public. Spitzkoppe iceberg is a rock climbing Mecca and is one other fascinating site. The climbing is hard and entails tip toeing as you make your way up the rock cracks.
