Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley’s bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed an exclusive key case to mark the centennial of the company. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying ‘B’ paperweight, a set of keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

It’s a great present to welcome a new owner to their luxurious car.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a brand which takes its aesthetics seriously. This is evident in the precise placement of its quilting and the use of leather that is made from cattle by-products, the wood from sustainably-managed forests, and the innovative patterns of its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you take it in with its striking sculptural appeal and power through carefully planned lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever created. The rear tonneau, for example, showcased the biggest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to a production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

Bentley is the most sought-after brand in the automotive industry in the world because of its distinctive design and workmanship. Design

Bentley has introduced a special specification for cars made after 2019 to commemorate its centenary. This is known as the Centenary Specification. Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and the other that turns on the vehicle. The key also has a button to turn on the parking brake. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors when parked in a tight space. Using this feature can aid in getting in and out of the car more quickly.

The key is constructed from vegetable tanned leather. It takes over two days to create each one. It is hand cut to shape, sewn sealed and polished to provide the highest-quality finish. It is lightweight and durable, and it fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its style is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car’s key, but it feels much heavier and has a luxurious feel.

It also comes with Secure-A-Key that helps to prevent keyless entry theft. The device is placed inside the remote control key fob and stops it after a couple of minutes of inactivity. This prevents thieves from transmitting the frequency of the key to other devices that are able to unlock and start the vehicle.

Edition pays homage to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars include a key that displays an original 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
